ABSTRACT

The common Japanese Kampo medicine issued by MHLW was sorted and analyzed, record total ingredients, average dosage, total dosage of general prescription, maximal and minimal dosage of general prescription of Japanese Kampo was originated from the classic prescription. The ingredients of each prescription medicine was relatively less, and mostly composed of 4 to 9 ingredients. The average dosage was less, around 15-25 g and the average dosage of single drug was 3.16 g. The dose of Japanese Kampo medicine was relatively less, and it was only about 1/4 of the drug used in Chinese mainland. The reasons were related to many factors like historical evolution of Chinese prescription, the habit of taking medicine, people’s constitution of different nations and so on.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the curative effect of cervicogenic headache(CEH)treatment through the combination of pulse radio frequency(PRF)on the C2 dorsal rootganglion and continuous epidural space block. Methods Sixty patients with CEH in our hospital were randomly divided into groups A and B,30 cases in each group. The group A was treated with combination of PRF on cervical dorsal root ganglion and continuous epidural space block. The group B was treated with PRF on cervical dorsal root ganglion method. The pain VAS scores before treatment and at 1 week,3,6 months after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with pretreatment, the VSA scores at 1 week,3,6 wonths after treatment in the two groups had statistical difference(P<0.05),moreover,the VAS score decrease in the group A was better than the group B.All the patients had no nerve and artery injury or infection complications. Conclusion It is safe and effective to treat cervical CEH through the combination of ganglion PRF on the cervical 2 dorsal root and continuous epidural space block.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical value of D5F3 and Survivin in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Methods 100 patients with non - small cell lung cancer admitted in our hospital from January 2016 to June 2017 were examined by immunohistochemical method, to analyze the clinical value of D5F3 and Survivin antibody in non - small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Results The coincidence rate of D5F3 was (20%), (++) was 33.33%, and the coincidence rate was (87.50%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The positive rate of Survivin protein expression was correlated with the differentiation degree of non-small cell lung cancer, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Conclusion D5F3 has high accuracy, sensitivity and specificity, and has important clinical diagnostic value; The detection of Survivin expression is helpful for clinical differentiation, clinical staging and lymph node metastasis in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUNDUse of an emergency peripartum hysterectomy (EPH) as a lifesaving measure to manage intractable postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) appears to be increasing recently around the world, and the indications for EPH have changed. The object of this study is to identify risk factors associated with EPH.

METHODSWe conducted a case-control study of 21 patients who underwent EPH because of intractable PPH between January 1, 2005 and June 30, 2013, at the International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of Medicine (IPMCH). The parametric t-test, chi-square tests and Logistic regression models were used for analysis to identify the risk factors. The results were considered statistically significant when P < 0.05.

RESULTSThere were 89 178 deliveries during the study period. Twenty-one women had an EPH, with an incidence of 24 per 100 000 deliveries. The loss of blood during postpartum hemorrhage of the EPH group was (5 060.7 ± 3 032.6) ml, and that of the control group was (2 040.8 ± 723.5) ml. There was a significant difference of PHH between the EHP group and the control group (P = 0.001). Independent risk factors for EPH from a logistic regression model were: disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) (OR: 9.9, 95% CI 2.8-34, P = 0.003), previous cesarean section (OR: 5.27; 95% CI: 1.48-17.9, P = 0.009), placenta previa (OR: 6.9; 95% CI 1.6-2.9, P = 0.008), the loss of PPH (OR: 1.001; 95% CI 1.001-1.002, P = 0.002), placenta accreta (OR: 68; 95% CI 10-456, P = 0.004), the use of tocolytic agents prenatally (OR: 6.55, 95%CI 1.34-32.1,P = 0.049), and fetal macrosomia (OR: 6.9, 95% CI 1.25-38, P = 0.049).

CONCLUSIONSignificant risk factors of EPH are DIC, placenta previa, PPH, previous cesarean delivery, and placenta accrete, the use of tocolytic agents prenatally, and fetal macrosomia.

ABSTRACT

Objective:The causes, management, and prevention of complications in laparoscopic gyneco-logic surgery were investigated. Methods:A retrospective analysis was done based on clinical data of 8279 cases of laparoscopic gynecologic surgery from January 1996 to December 2008 in this hospital. Results:The complication rate was 0.88% (73/8279). These included five cases intraperitoneal bleeding, five cases injury of ureter, 20 cases abdominal vessel damage, 10 cases vulva emphysema, 25 cases wound healing delay and each one case respectively for stomach injury, bladder injury, secondary abdominal cavity preg-nancy,infection and incision hernia. The occurrence rates of complications between hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopic surgery and pure adnexal surgery were no difference( P >0.05). Compared to adnexal op-erations, there was a significantly higher complication rate in myomectomy and laparoscopic assistant vaginal hysterectomy (P < 0.01 ). Conclusions:Complications of laparoscopic gynecologic surgery are correlated with the difficulty of operation and the skillfulness of operators. In order to reduce complications, careful oper-ation and avoiding over self -confidence are essential.

ABSTRACT

Objective Percutaneous puncture of gasserian ganglion was guided by CT scan to improve the accuracy and reduce complications and to compare the efficacy of chemical mutilation with ethyl alcohol and adriamycin. Methods Ninety-two patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia (39 males, 53 females) aged 37-84 yrs were divided into two groups : A ethyl alcohol group ( n = 47) and B adriamycin group ( n = 45) . Secondary trigeminal neuralgia was excluded by preoperative CT scan. Percutaneous puncture of oval foramen was guided by CT and correct location of needle tip was confirmed by injection of contrast medium. 100% ethyl alcohol 0.5ml (group A) or 2% adriamycin 0.5ml was injected. Results The patients were followed up for 12 months after treatment. Neuralgia disappeared in 31 out of 47 patients in group A (alcohol group) and in 36 out of 45 patients in group B (adriomycin group) . Treatment failed in 13 patients in group A and 6 patients in group B, and was partly effective in the other patients. There were no severe side effects or complications. Conclusion Percutaneous puncture of gasserian ganglion guided by CT is effective and reduces complications. Adriamycin is more effective than ethyl alcohol for chemical mutilation.
